Past President Letters

Dr. Stephen J. Mulder 2005
President
Lamar Arts

Thank you for visiting our website. As you can see, Lamar Arts is an active organization dedicated to the finest programming in music, theatre, dance, and the visual arts.  The Lamar Arts Art Center and Gallery, located at the downtown Barnesville Depot is perpetually busy with exhibits, meetings, and community arts events.  We have started monthly Open Mic nights at the Gallery.  Our Gordon College Recital Series features the finest musicians from all over the world.  Our community events include a Buggy Days Band Concert, Summer Camps for Performing and Visual Arts, a Summer Musical Theatre production, and an annual membership business meeting.

Our increased activity and the costs associated with occupation of the downtown Depot have increased the importance of maintaining a large and active membership.  I urge you to join our cause and become a member.  Also consider becoming a volunteer.  Volunteers are always needed for gallery sitting, helping with receptions, ushering at recitals and concerts, and processing mailings.  If you are willing to assist in anyway, even if it is only a few hours, please contact us 770-358-5888 or Email: lamararts@juno.com.

The coming year promises to be our most active yet.  With your membership and your support, Lamar Arts will continue to impact Lamar County and build our reputation as a cultural community dedicated to artistic development.
